The Blue Sky Leisure Group incorporating Harlequins Rugby Club, Sportingclass and Rugbyclass requires a Management Accountant to work solely for Harlequins Rugby Club. The role is only initially offered as a five month contract up to 21st December 2007. However, if the successful applicant impresses during that period, there is a strong possibility of the role being made permanent at the end of the contract.

Therefore, applications will be welcomed from those looking for a long-term career within a professional sports Club but are happy to initially accept the opportunity of a five month contract with no guarantee of permanent employment after this period.

Main duties during the five month contract will include:

• Assisting with production of match day ticket / profit reconciliations.
• 
  
• Assisting with production of monthly management accounts to include full balance sheet account reconciliations, producing and posting nominal ledger journals and nominal ledger code analysis as required.
• 
  
• Assisting with production of monthly cash flow reports.

If the role did become permanent, further duties would include:

• Preparing and producing payroll for all group employees, preparing all payroll annual returns and dealing with all internal or external payroll queries.

• Liaising with playing department to produce playing payroll budgets / forecasts and annual salary cap returns.
• 
  
• Production of the group board pack.

Applicants should be part-qualified / finalist (CIMA/ACCA) who have two to three years of solid management accounts production experience. Experience of payroll production is advantageous but not essential.
