Harlequins has confirmed an exciting group of pre-season fixtures as it prepares for the start of the 2013-14 season.
Rather than jumping on the advantage, Care kept the ball in hand and called over to referee Steve Walsh, indicating that he should stop play.
Welsh Centre Jamie Roberts later tweeted: "Great sportsmanship from Danny Care; great to see."
Care modestly commented, "Anybody would have stopped the play. It's such a sad way to get injured but that's the sport we are in."
Although the rivalry will be as intense as ever at the Millennium Stadium this weekend, there may be a greater underlying respect between the two teams and, given what is at stake, it is heartening to know that good sportsmanship still has a place in the modern game.
Good luck to Harlequins' Danny Care and Nick Easter who will be playing for England tomorrow against Wales.
