Global sports nutritional giant PowerBar have been operating for the last twenty five years and have the Protein brand Musashi based in the Southern Hemisphere, also in their portfolio. PowerBar have a history in working with elite sport through sponsoring the athletes such as Haile Gebrselassie since 1998 as well as global sponsorship agreements with the Ironman series, Tour de France and now Harlequins rugby club. This deal between Quins and PowerBar represents two strong and powerful brands eager to get to the top of the respective fields and both parties are hugely looking forward to a long and successful partnership together.

PowerBar have been in consultation with the Harlequins back room team to ensure the Harlequins squad are using the most appropriate products and quantities before, during and after training and matches. With a busy season ahead in the Aviva Premiership, LV= Cup and Heineken Cup the squad want to ensure that they have exactly the right partners to help them achieve the aims on the pitch and with this deal Harlequins Head Training and Conditioning Coach John Dams said: "We are absolutely delighted to have PowerBar on board. They are at the cutting edge of scientific research and their products emulate that. Plus all the boys love the taste, which is difficult to achieve whilst keeping the products at such a high level but PowerBar do this brilliantly."
