The players are back in pre-season training and the 2011/12 fixtures have been announced; the countdown to the new season can officially begin!
Harlequins are pleased to announce that they will be take on local rivals, and current Aviva Premiership Champions, Saracens in the LV= Big Game 4 on Tuesday 27
th December at Twickenham Stadium, in what promises, once again, to be London's biggest sporting event over Christmas.
After two home pre-season friendlies in August (against local rivals Esher Rugby and Nottingham Rugby), Harlequins will kick off their Aviva Premiership Rugby 2011/12 campaign against London Irish, in the now traditional London Double Header, across the road at Twickenham Stadium as the away club.
Harlequins will then return to the Stoop where Quins fans will be entertained by two back-to-back home games, the first against Heineken Cup runners up, Northampton Saints, and the second against LV= Cup champions, Gloucester.
The majority of home matches at the Stoop are scheduled to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday, unless television schedules or matches at Twickenham Stadium dictate otherwise.
All television scheduling has been done for round 1-8, so all fixtures have been confirmed up until the first week of November.
Tickets will not be available until the middle of July but tickets for LV=Big Game 4 are already on sale, via ticketmaster. Quins season ticket holders will be contacted separately about LV= Big Game 4.
Season ticket sales are extremely strong and still available to buy from the website or the ticket office on 08715271315.
