Quins miss out on final in dying seconds

Quins are knocked out of the J.P Morgan Asset Management 7s series in the dying seconds against Falcons.
It was a perfect summer's evening at the Stoop as the London club welcomed fans to an evening of great rugby and great entertainment, as 6 sides battled it out to be 7s champions.
Quins V Wasps
It was the first match of the evening and a great start from Quins as they ran in 3 tries to see off local rivals Wasps. Tries came from Luke Wallace, Ross Chisholm and Sam Smith , with Benjamin Urdapiletta kicking 2 conversions.
Final score 19-0
Quins V Newcastle
This was Quins' first real test of the competition and proved to be their last as, with the clock showing zero, Newcastle ran in a winning try to sneak their way into the final.
Quins always knew it was going to be a tough contest and, after tries from Chisholm and Mantella, and a conversion from Urdapilleta, the sides were tied at 12-12. Unfortunately for Quins, memories of last season's LV= Cup semi final against Falcons came flooding back as, with the clock showing zero, Luke Fielden dived into the right hand corner of the North stand. The referee's whistle signalled the end of the match and the end of Quins' night.
Final score: 12-17
It was a great display from a young English side and although they leave disappointed, they have shown great talent and spirit.
