One more in a long line of Quins academy graduates, 27 year old Tom Guest is in many people's eyes the archetypal modern day number 8. An impressive start to last season saw the back rower pick up two Man of the Match awards, along with the Etihad Airways player of the month and the players' player of the month for November. Unfortunately an injury in January saw him sidelined for the remainder of the season. Guest, who has made over 130 appearances for the London side has unfortunately been sidelined again with a broken arm but is due back in time for the opening Heineken Cup match against Connacht at the Stoop.

Guest made his Quins debut in a friendly against the Natal Sharks at the Stoop on 10^th February 2005, and became a regular in the First XV squad over the 2005/06 season. He has gone on to represent at both 7's and Saxons levels and will be looking to secure a full cap in the coming seasons.

"Tom has been a Harlequin for all of his career and we are delighted that he has committed his future to us yet again. He has been extremely unfortunate with injury over the past nine months but, up until January, he was arguably our best player. Tom is hugely ambitious to achieve honours with both Harlequins and England, and I have no doubt that, over the next few seasons, he has the capability to achieve his ambition on both fronts"
