Looking ahead to London Wasps this Sunday, we will be expecting an incredibly tough and physical test. With Wasps, you always expect it to be a very physical game.
Wasps have an experienced and very physical forward pack and will look to keep the ball tight and play round the corner. They've got a lot of big forward runners, complimented by scrum-half Joe Simpson who is a great organiser and a threat to any defence from anywhere on the field.
In the backs, Nicky Robinson has such talent outside him. With Dom Waldouck returning from injury and wingers Tom Varndell and Christian Wade scoring tries for fun so far, they will be so dangerous. If you give those guys an inch, they will take a mile. Of course, you cannot forget Hugo Southwell, he has a huge boot on him so we will need to watch for his territorial kicking, which can pressurise us deep in our half.
The way that Wasps have been playing this season is a real credit to their coach Dai Young, he is an incredibly respected and experienced coach who has done a fantastic job since taking over this season. Adams Park has been a very difficult place for us to go in the past, we haven't won there in the league since 2003. Wasps have already upset Saracens and Leicester Tigers this season, so it will be a challenging afternoon where only our very best will produce a win.
All the boys are looking forward to another game where the fans are out in force to support, we look forward to seeing and hearing you on Sunday.
Chris.
