A strong performance from both Quins and Wasps with 4 tries each.
On Wednesday 22nd February Quins U17 (selected from Harlequins Elite Player Development Group) travelled to Staines RFC to play Wasps U17. The Harlequins squad of 26 players was mainly U16 with only 4 players at U17, whereas Wasps squad were all U17. It was an excellent performance on the night from the Quins boys both as a team and from some individuals.
For the first half Harlequins were playing in to the strong wind, but they jelled well together as a team and with a strong set piece were able to score two tries from the forwards James Chisholm and Stanley South. This took them into half time at 10 - 10 however there had been some excellent running rugby from the whole 15. A further two tries from Fraser Mosley and Ben Woolams in the second half finished the match off as 20-20. It was a good battle in the second half, with the lead going both ways but Quins showed good character to come back in the final minutes to draw level.
We would like to congratulate all the boys on their performances and hope they enjoyed representing Quins at U17.
