Cllr Christine Percival, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Education, Youth and Children's Services, said: "The conference is an excellent way for young people to come together and share their feelings on crime and keeping safe in the borough.
"There was several useful workshops and presentations, and drama scenarios which shows the consequences of a range of different crimes, including domestic abuse and knife and fire crime, and the effects of criminal actions on family and friends.
"This event gives the CPP, the Council and the police an opportunity to show young people what we are doing in order to keep Richmond upon Thames safe. I hope the young people who took part found it thought provoking and take away practical advice which will help them to make smart decisions on their safety."
Each secondary school in the borough can send a group of Year 9 pupils, aged between 13 and 14 years old. More than 130 students attended the 2011 conference.
