Gordons School were the toughest opponent in the pool stage. A very close game finished 12 points a piece. Ernest Bevin drew Gordons again in the final of the festival. Gordons got off to a flying start and had a 14-12 lead at half time. In the second half Ernest Bevin defended very well and kept their composure under lots of pressure from Gordons. A try which started from behind their own line and one break away in the dying seconds of the game secured a very close game for Ernest Bevin 26 points to 14.
Ernest Bevin U13s will contest the Surrey U13 Schools sevens on the 13thMarch before they play in the National Sevens competition at Rosslyn Park on the 26th and 27th March.
Daniel Lane, Ernest Bevin U13s Head Coach said, "It was great to see our boys show so much composure especially when they went behind in the final. They played some good rugby all through the tournament. All the boys involved have only been playing Rugby for 18 months. I am looking forward to the National Schools Sevens at Rosslyn Park."
