After 36 games of tag rugby, we ended up with two teams contesting the final, Archdeacon Quins and St Osmunds Saints. After an exciting and free flowing game, the scores were tied at 4-4, so a sudden death golden try followed. Archdeacon Quins lost the toss to start the game but after some good tagging and defense, they managed to turn the ball over. From their next attack and after some very good support play they got the all important try and ran out 5-4 winners.
Community rugby coach Brian Holland said: "It was a great afternoon of tag rugby. From watching most of the games I could see that all of the teams improved and grew in confidence as the festival went on, considering for many this was their first ever experience of the game at any level. What pleased me most was that each player went home with a smile on their face."
