Harlequins were crowned Rosslyn Park floodlit sevens Champions for a second season in succession on Thursday night after victories over Loughborough Students, Marauders, Saracens and Bath.
Conceding just 15 points in the entire tournament, Harlequins have lifted the trophy for a seventh time, the most in the tournament's history.
In the opening fixture of the night, Harlequins faced Loughborough Students. Tries from Joe Trayfoot, Seb Stegmann, Charlie Walker, Ollie Lindsay-Hague, Jordan Burns and a brace from Benjamin Urdapilleta in response to one try from their opposition gave Harlequins a 45-5 victory.
In the second game, a brace from Walker and Ross Chisholm, alongside further tries from Lindsay-Hague and Burns, ensured Harlequins a clean sheet as they defeated the Marauders 36-0.
In the semi-final, Harlequins faced their London rivals, Saracens. With the scores tied at 10-10 after the first half, an impressive second half performance allowed Quins to score 19 unanswered points to seal victory and set up a final clash with Bath rugby.
A very well worked performance in the evening's main event allowed Quins to keep a clean sheet as they were crowned champions following a 29-0 victory. Tries from Chisholm, Luke Wallace, Burns and a brace from Walker allowed Quins to return the Rosslyn Park floodlit sevens trophy back to the Stoop's trophy cabinet.
