Last Saturday's events both on and off the Twickenham pitch were truly historic and memorable for all associated with this great club.
Winning the Aviva Premiership Final was a fitting reward for consistent effort over 22 rounds of the regular season and a dramatic semi-final.
Throughout your support has also been consistent and loyal and made the difference especially on the dark afternoons of winter when the going was tough against the great teams that compete in the Premiership.
Having said that, you surpassed yourselves on Saturday and we want to tell you what a difference you made.
Those of you that formed the guard of honour through the west car park turned what could have been a routine walk to the stadium into an inspirational, never-to-be- forgotten, spine tingling moment for the squad and coaches. Thank you.
The thousands of you in the bowl of the great stadium turned it into a "home" match for us, your support and singing throughout the match kept us going in what were very tiring playing conditions against great opponents. Thank you.
Your post-match reception to the trophy tour around the stadium exceeded all expectations and brought a tear to the eye of more than one of our experienced team mates. Thank you.
Finally, those of you that made your way to The Stoop and greeted us so warmly and enthusiastically on Saturday evening brought one of the great days of our lives to a fitting conclusion. Thank you.
And so as a season ends that will go into the club's history books, we start to look forward to the next. We have a great squad and great coaches, a great stadium and great support staff, and we have great supporters.
Enjoy your summer. We look forward to seeing you in September when it all starts again.
