Paladin Capital is pleased to announce that it is to become a sponsor of the successful Harlequins Academy, in particular its Elite Player Development Group (EPDG).
The Academy's EPDG identifies and supports promising young players who demonstrate the ability and ambition to embark upon a career in professional rugby.
Under the terms of the sponsorship agreement the Paladin Capital logo and company profile will appear on the Academy section of the Harlequins website. The logo will also appear on the playing shirts of Harlequins Academy Under 15, Under 16 and Under 18 representative teams. The company will also present an award to an Academy player who has excelled during the season.
Announcing the sponsorship Sylvester Vince-Odozi, Chief Executive of Paladin Capital and a keen rugby union supporter and former player said, "Our involvement with such a high profile club as Harlequins presents great marketing opportunities for us. That combined with the fact that we're in a position to sign this agreement makes me very proud of the success of Paladin Capital to date.
"In addition, we're pleased to be supporting talented young stars of the future and giving them the chance to get their careers off to the best possible start."
Commenting on the sponsorship, Tony Diprose, Harlequins Academy Manager said, "Twelve of the players that competed for the club in last month's victory in the final of the Aviva Premiership were graduates of our Academy, obvious testimony of the valuable role it plays in developing players for the senior team. Sponsors like Paladin Capital make it possible to maintain and improve our Academy and we're very grateful to the company for its support."
