Harlequins has confirmed an exciting group of pre-season fixtures as it prepares for the start of the 2013-14 season.

The bar has truly been lifted this summer when it comes to the expectations of British sports fans. In fitting fashion, the London Double Header on the opening day of the 2012/2013 Aviva Premiership season did not disappoint. There are comebacks and then there are comebacks. Harlequins, already golden boys after the manner in which they became champions last season produced undoubtedly one of the greatest turns of recent years to secure victory against local rivals Wasps.
Mike Brown and his team mates were 27 points down with 22 minutes to go but rallied to win in their first match of the new season, snatching victory from a shell shocked Wasps.
Brown scored two second half tries in their epic fight back against a rejuvenated Wasps side who it's easy to forget were so nearly relegated last season. Statistically, Brown produced the best performance from all of September's Aviva Premiership fixtures. His contribution on the day saw him rack up a commendable 3245 points on the Opta index attributed to 17 carries resulting in gains of 131 meters, 5 defenders beaten and two tries.
On being presented the award by Gatorade®, an Official Performance Partner to Premiership Rugby®, Brown commented "The game against Wasps is a hard one to sum up, for 60 minutes we were flat and struggled to get going. We have a massive belief in the squad and to come back from such a deficit proved that. I was pleased with how I played in the second half and it's always good to have performances recognised with awards such as the Game Changer."
Brown is the first player to receive the Game Changer award so far during the 2012/2013 Premiership season. The race is on to follow in the footsteps of 2011/2012 Game Changer of the season, Gonzalo Camacho of Exeter Chiefs.
