A quick update on the adult team is that we are looking into getting a local competition started against SESI Itape which is 45 minutes down the road. This will be to give the guys some actual game time, and I can tell you looking at the size and speed of some of these boys it's going to be a good day for all. On the same day our future athletes will be taking part in competition against Itape to try and prove their worth as they slowly begin to grasp the rules of the game.
School times are steadily moving forwards with each class now having preformed or taken part in a form of rugby game, against one another or part of a larger SESI competition. I can proudly say that I think Tatui will be a force to reckon with soon enough! Each child loves the sessions and does not want them to end come that final minute of the hour. With the core skills being moved into now as well, I think once we get some festivals and tournaments going we can safely say GOOD LUCK to the boys and girls of Tatui.
Talking to people in and around SESI it's interesting to see the different views of the game - for most it is simply American football or similar until they actually see the game or partake. The select few who have taken up the sport are beginning to really appreciate the core values behind it and can see how it can help people to move on.
I must say goodbye for now, I am trying to get planning for some local events to be held here in Tatui to promote the game just before the Christmas holidays and try and boost our numbers, so that after Christmas Tatui is a stronger, larger and bonded team in all aspects.
Thanks for reading as always and Let Us Always Remember Them Lest We Forget.
