The Anglo-Welsh cup is known for giving future stars their big break and Harlequins have some very strong examples of that. Joe Marler, who is currently preparing to face Australia at Twickenham on Saturday made his senior debut against Newcastle Falcons in the Anglo Welsh Cup, while Chris Robshaw, George Robson and Mike Brown have been no strangers to the tournament in the past.

Last season the likes of Jonny May at Gloucester, Matt Kvesic at Worcester Warriors and Cardiff Blues' Rhys Patchell all featured, and all are tipped to be future international regulars.

Harlequins' Luke Wallace, who captained the club for the first time last week made his initial break in the tournament and was last year shortlisted for the LV= breakthrough player of the year award.

The LV= Cup brings young players through to play during the international period. 18 year old first year Academy centre, Harry Sloan was a prime example last week scoring on his senior debut for the club.
