Harlequins announced today (6th December) that over 50,000 tickets have been sold for Big Game 5 on December 29th when the current Aviva Premiership Champions face London Irish at Twickenham Stadium.
With just over three weeks to go until rugby's biggest fixture of the Festive season, ticket sales are on track for another sell out at rugby's headquarters.
Harlequins endeavour to provide this top class event at affordable prices and with tickets starting at £10 this is an opportunity to attend Aviva Premiership rugby that is not to be missed.
Lawson, the rock/pop band and one of 2012's hottest break-out bands, will headline the match day entertainment and with two further acts to be announced, the day promises to be enjoyable both on and off the pitch.
Commenting on the milestone, Harlequins Commercial Director James Kendall said, "We are delighted to have already sold 50,000 tickets for Big Game 5 and are already ahead of last year's sales when we broke the world record for the highest attendance for a domestic rugby match.
"Big Game at the home of English rugby has quickly become one of the great Christmas holiday events and with Harlequins continuing the form that saw the team become Aviva Premiership champions last season, we would encourage supporters to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."
