The chance to be a mascot has been kindly donated by Etihad as Charlie, who is five, suffers from Goldenhar Syndrome and has been a regular visitor to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH). Goldenhar Syndrome is a rare congenital defect characterized by incomplete development of the ear, nose, soft palate, lip, and jaw.
His brother Hayden (nine) attends hospital with him as often as he can and after one visit he decided he wanted to raise some money for the "magical people" at GOSH and wrote off for a fundraising kit.
Since then Hayden has put a lot of energy into baking and has held a cake sale at his rugby club, Rochford Hundred U10s where he is a scrum half / winger and also at his scouts as he aims to raise much-needed funds for the hospital that treats his brother.
Both boys are huge Harlequins supporters and have loved the club since birth after their father's passion for the team.
