The club's support will help the Army's senior Regiment's charity by raising its profile among the sporting community and by generating funds through a number of activities among them the launch of a specially designed rugby shirt.
The attractive, jointly branded shirt officially goes on sale today and is available online here, from the Harlequins Shop at The Twickenham Stoop and via the HCF's website www.hcavfoundation.org. Every shirt sold will see £5 donated to the HCF.
Funds raised will directly help the HCF with its work supporting Household Cavalry soldiers and their families in times of need. This support will be brought into sharp focus when over 150 members of the Household Cavalry deploy to Afghanistan on Operation HERRICK 18 in March.
The shirt will be worn by two teams of serving members and veterans of the Household Cavalry when they compete in the Norton Rose City Scrum 2013, co-hosted with Harlequins, which will be played at the Honourable Artillery Company, London EC1 on Thursday 14th March.
