In 2008, Help A London Child's Christmas appeal helped raise funds for Shooting Star to complete the Cosmos Therapy Zone, which now houses a Family Therapies room, Music Therapy and Complimentary Therapies. However, this is not the first time some of the players have visited Shooting Star House. Last year Jordan attended Shooting Star's Christmas party and took part in a special version of the X Factor. Tom was also present at the recent Cricket 6's tournament in Teddington.

After testing out the facilities in the sensory room, and following a rousing rendition of 'The Grand Old Duke of York' by the children, Peter took to the mic to perform his own version of Jamie Cullum's 'Old Devil Moon'. The players are also celebrating the launch of the official shirt for Big Game 3. In December Harlequins will take on London Irish at Twickenham, and a percentage of sales from the official shirt will go straight to 'Help a London Child'.

'Visiting The Shooting Star Children's Hospice today gave myself and a few of the players the opportunity to meet some of the incredible children and staff,' said Tom Williams. 'It really is such a special and amazing place, and it can't help but make you stop and think about what an important and crucial role the staff play in enabling respite care for life-limited children and their families. The impact it had on each of us was evident, and we will be very proud to be wearing our Help a London Child shirts at Big Game 3, knowing that projects like Shooting Star will benefit.'
