Harlequins has confirmed an exciting group of pre-season fixtures as it prepares for the start of the 2013-14 season.
Harlequins have won pool 3 with one game to go and will progress to the quarter-finals of the competition. The team travel to France this week aiming to top the rankings and earn a more favourable draw in the knock-out stages.
The equipment will be transported in a specially commissioned Harlequins branded van that includes images of three of the club's international players: Danny Care, Jordan Turner-Hall and Harlequins and England Captain Chris Robshaw. The van will then join the DHL delivery fleet in the Richmond and Twickenham area.
Phil Couchman, CEO of DHL Express UK and Ireland said, "Harlequins have been an outstanding club side in England and we are very proud to be assisting their match day preparations.
"DHL distributes to 220 countries around the world, and it's been a pleasure working closely with the 'team behind the team' to ensure that all of their equipment is delivered to the France in time for this important match."
Speaking about the partnership, Harlequins Director of Rugby, Conor O'Shea said: "As a group we put a lot of focus on marginal gains and the small improvements we can make to give us the extra edge on and off the pitch. Competition is at its fiercest in the Heineken Cup and anything extra that we can do to help our preparations and enable us to be ready for the challenges of our opponents is crucial."
"Having confidence in the logistics, especially when travelling away in Europe, means that the coaches and support staff can focus 100% on the match and the support of DHL this week is an important part of our preparations."
