Sam started playing rugby when he was 6 at Stroud Rugby Club and joined the Harlquins School of Rugby at 14 despite being away at school in Sedbergh, Cumbria, for most of this time. 

He is now in his second year of Harlequins full time academy which he joined at the beginning of the 2010/2011 season. Unfortunately for Sam and Harlequins he has been injured for almost this entire period.

Sam is a talented, ball playing scrum-half and has represented England at Under 16, 18 and 20’s.

He is most looking forward to finally playing some rugby again next season and hoping to stay fit and out of rehab!
