It's the last week of summer holidays, and as the new term approaches, I can safely say I am prepared. During the summer holidays, summer camps for U11s were arranged. There were a range of sports organised, with the children trying out sports from a range of different countries.

The traditional games with England comprised of Cricket, Croquet, Badminton and of course, rugby. I spent most of my time organising the tag rugby.

As you can see from the images on Facebook, we certainly have been busy. The adults are into full contact and they have picked it up quickly. There's a few teething problems of course, but they are loving it more and more. I personally can't wait for when we start back properly half way through February when we can really get this team up and running.

As this project is based around Tag the whole schools will be starting off learning tag according to Premiership Rugby methods and so the teachers in the schools can really get to grips with how to introduce the sport.

We have a couple of events coming up to introduce rugby to more people to keep growing SESI Tatui rugby and I am really pushing for a girls team. The ladies recently tried the sport and loved it, so I'm hoping my idea for a ladies rugby day will really hit off and get it up and running.
