Harlequins is delighted to announce that our official charity partner from Sept 2010 will be the international children's charity Right To Play. Right To Play harnesses the power of sport and play to educate and inspire some of the most vulnerable children in the world. Working through local coaches, sports teams and schools, Right To Play gives children in refugee camps and slums the chance to recover their childhoods and access key education and skills.
This is a cause close to our players' hearts and with support from them and the club as a whole over the next two years, Right To Play will be able to leave a legacy of learning and development in communities facing poverty, disease and war. It costs just £20 to give a child access to Right To Play programming twice weekly for a whole year. With this in mind, we encourage you to dig deep and support Right To Play's incredible work.
Look out for a wide range of exciting competitions and events to mark the launch of the partnership over the next few weeks. Foremost among these will be the Mark Evans Sweepstake - a charity sweepstake based on this season with a host of amazing prizes to be won. Look out for more information in next week's Ezine!
If you would like more information on Right To Play's work or wish to support the charity in any way, please contact Will Morgan on 0207 812 0635 or wmorgan@righttoplay.com.
