Developing Player Programme Nomination

Tuesday, 4th February 2020 @ 14:24

How can you nominate players for the Developing Player Programme?

Players primarily come into the Academy Pathway via the DPP, although players can also enter directly at U16, U17 and U18 PDG level. Players are nominated by their school, club or county coaches or scouted by a member of the Academy staff.

To be eligible for selection players must have a postal address, attend a school or play for a club within our catchment area of Surrey, Sussex and the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Wandsworth, Croydon, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Merton, Richmond-Upon-Thames (South of the river) & Sutton.

The player I want to nominate cannot attend the trial - shall I still nominate them?

For players who cannot attend the next trial date, we suggest you may wish to use your nomination for a player that can attend. The U14 programme is merely an introduction for the DPP with delivery increasing at U15 level. Entry points for the U14 programme will be available in both the Autumn and Summer. Players who are nominated for the U14 programme and cannot attend the Assessment will be automatically invited to the next one if they complete an RSVP outlining this.

For transparency and fairness we do allow players to trial during the sessions provided they are deemed to be exceptional circumstances.

Can I submit more than three nominations?

There will be future opportunities to nominate players from this age group so we ask at this stage that you keep your nominations to a maximum of three.
