England Academy Player (EAP)

Wednesday, 29th January 2020 @ 16:25

An England Academy Player (EAP), is the designation given to the players currently demonstrating the greatest potential in the Regional Academy.

As an RFU Regional Academy, Harlequins Academy has to register a group of EAPs with England Rugby every year.

Harlequins Academy is accountable to provide a greater level of support to, and have a greater amount of contact time with EAPs than the PDG players of the same age.

As a result those 16-18 year old EAPs still have a consistent involvement in the PDG but would have additional support and development opportunities beyond this.
