Harlequins is delighted to announce a new partnership with water company Aqua British.

The English spring water business will become the latest partner to join Harlequins as the Club’s Official Water Supplier, providing water to both the Men’s and Women’s squads, as well as The Twickenham Stoop.

Aqua British launched in the UK earlier this year, with the environment at its heart, and is a game-changer for the bottled water market. 100% of the packaging, including the cap and label, is biodegradable, offering consumers an environmentally friendly option for their bottled water.

Aqua British water comes from a microbiologically pure water source with finely balanced mineral content. This allows cells and tissues to repair themselves, creating optimal health and longevity, slows down the ageing process by removing toxins and acidic waste from the cells and creates an environment full of oxygen in the cells and tissues so that disease cannot survive.

In partnering with the innovative water brand, Harlequins CEO Laurie Dalrymple said: “We are delighted to partner with Aqua British. This partnership will provide our players with not only the best water for hydration and recovery but will also support the Club’s ongoing efforts to being sustainable.

“The environment, and our impact on it, has never been more important and we are excited to work with Aqua British to drive awareness of the part we can all play.”

Aqua British CEO Harshit Mishra said: “It is a pleasure to sign this partnership with Harlequins. They, like us, are looking to lead the way in their industry with innovative ideas and we hope we can help the side reduce their plastic waste with our 100 per cent biodegradable bottles.”

Aqua British is a high-quality English spring water, located on protected land in the heart of Herefordshire in the West Midlands.

Since its establishment, Aqua British Water has dedicated its time and resource to continuous research and development to deliver the latest generation of bottles that reduce environmental impact.

Aqua British is not only an international leader in the field of sustainable packaging as part of its normal business activities but also goes one step further to take on even more social responsibility.

The innovative water brand also pledges to spend four pence from every Aqua British bottle sold on planting trees with the One Tree Planted charity, as well as donating to charities such as the Mayor’s Fund for London, The Harlequins Foundation and The Felix Project (a charity distributing food to fight hunger in London), in addition to financing needed biowaste bins across the United Kingdom.
