Harlequins historian Graeme Roberts has raided the archive ahead of the First Test
Three Harlequins players have been on three British & Irish Lions tours - Jason Leonard, Will Greenwood and Wade Dooley.
Dooley may be a surprise to many Quins supporters but he did play for the Club on a short tour they made to South Africa in 1994.
Leonard and Peter Winterbottom share the honour of having appeared in the most Test matches - seven.
If you put aside Andrew Stoddart’s extraordinary effort on the 1888 tour, Jason also has appeared in the most tour matches - 23.
Stoddart scored 22 tries on the 1888 tour; John Young scored 14 in 1959.
Vic Roberts holds the record for the most tries scored by a Lions’ forward in a single match with four.
Bob Hiller was the first player to score more than 100 points on consecutive tours - 104 in 1968 and 110 in 1971. He still holds the Lions record for the most conversions with 44.
Two Quins have managed the Lions; Brian Vaughan in 1962 and David Brooks in 1968.
Three Quins have helped coach the Lions; Dick Best in 1993, Andy Keast in 1997 and Clive Woodward in 2005.
