Harlequins coaching group has made three changes to the Starting XV as the Club return to European action

Travelling to the Cardiff Arms Park this Friday Dino Lamb, James Chisholm and Louis Lynagh return to the starting XV as Quins step back into European action having claimed two wins from two during the first rounds of the competition.

Off the back of announcing new deals with the Club earlier this week, number eight Alex Dombrandt and centre Luke Northmore retain starting berths this Friday. Northmore switches from outside to inside centre this week, with Joe Marchant shifting into the midfield as Lynagh takes up the 14 jersey.

Lamb steps into the starting line-up in place of Hugh Tizard, who is named on the bench, with Chisholm returning to the backrow following injury to flanker Jack Kenningham last weekend.

Returning to the matchday 23 amongst the Impact Players, hooker Sam Riley, Tongan international Viliami Taulani and scrum-half Jack Stafford also return to the 23 amongst the Impact Players, wearing the 16, 20 and 21 jerseys respectively.

Previewing the fixture, Scrum Coach Adam Jones said: “The fact that we’re going into a big European game being two from two has certainly perked everyone up a bit this week. The whole squad are excited to get stuck back into a big European clash.

“When Cardiff came to our ground last time out they showed, despite having such a disrupted squad, they could fight fire with fire. There were a lot of boys that weren’t even in the Cardiff squad and showed themselves worthy of regional selection.

“There’s a lot of internationals in their team and they can certainly help raise the bar in these big games. That’s going to be a challenge for us this week and we’re going to have to stem the flow of passion and aggression that will come our way.

“It’s the old Wales-England game, isn’t it? Two capital city centre teams. We’re expecting a tough game down there. We know they’ll want to have a crack at the English champions and it’ll be up to us to match it, and we will. We know what we can do when we get down there.”

Baxter learning from the best

Fin Baxter says there's no other better learning environment for a young prop with Adam Jones and Joe Marler to look up to.

Will Evans says it's the best environment he's been a part of in rugby which made it an easy decision to sign a new deal.
