Six Quins named in Red Roses squad for USA clash

England Women Head Coach Simon Middleton has named six Harlequins in his matchday squad to face the USA.

Harlequins Women’s Vickii Cornborough, Sarah Beckett, Heather Cowell, Lagi Tuima, Lucy Packer and Ellie Kildunne have all been included in Simon Middleton’s England matchday squad to take on USA at Sixways Stadium in Worcester on Sunday afternoon.

After returning from an injury and featuring twice for Quins in the Allianz Cup against Gloucester-Hartpury and Wasps respectively, Sarah Beckett slots straight back into the starting XV at number eight.

Scrum-half Lucy Packer is set to make her England debut after being named amongst the finishers. She is joined by Ellie Kildunne who will be looking to make an impact in the 23 jersey after returning to the matchday squad after missing out against Canada at The Stoop.

After being announced earlier this week as vice-chair at the Rugby Players’ Association, Vickii Cornborough is named at loosehead prop.

Off the back of scoring two tries on her England debut at The Stoop last weekend, Quins winger Heather Cowell retains her spot on the wing, but will be wearing the number eleven jersey. Lagi Tuima also retains her place in the starting XV but has moved from thirteen to number twelve.
