Stoop to host Red Roses vs Canada

The Twickenham Stoop will play host to England Women vs Canada Women this November

Continuing a long tradition of England’s Women playing blockbuster internationals at Harlequins’ home, the national side will face Canada Women at The Stoop on November 14, kick-off 14:45.

England Women play at The Stoop in the third of their four-game November series, playing New Zealand twice and the USA once during the international window.

The Red Roses last played at The Stoop in April this year as they lifted the 2021 Women’s Six Nations trophy in a dramatic clash with France in South West London. Seven Harlequins Women’s players featured for the Red Roses on that day, with a strong contingent of the national side set to feature for England once again this year.

A record home Women’s Six Nations ticketed crowd of 10,974 watched the Red Roses defeat Wales in the same competition at the Stoop in 2020.

England Women’s Head Coach Simon Middleton said: “Quins have embraced the women’s game and the last time we played there in front of fans during the Six Nations in March 2020 in front of a record crowd was brilliant. We’re pleased to be going back there, especially given they’re the home of both the men’s and women’s Premiership and Allianz Premier 15s champions.”

Laurie Dalrymple, Harlequins CEO said: “We are honoured that The Stoop has been chosen to host another Red Roses match. This continues a strong tradition of England’s Women playing blockbuster matches at Harlequins’ home ground.

“We are lucky enough to have a strong contingent of England players within the Harlequins Women’s squad, and I know our fans will be thrilled to have another opportunity to watch their players on international duty at their home ground.

Tickets on general sale via the RFU from 11:00 on Friday 10 September ( and from Harlequins later this month, update to follow.

Cadan Murley says people forget how young the squad is at Quins and that there is so much more to come from this group of players.
