Player biography


Stephan Lewies signed for Harlequins ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The Second row, was on loan with Lions but played the majority of his career in South Africa with Sharks, where he made 80 appearances having made his way up through the ranks, playing in the Currie Cup aged 21 in 2013.

Lewies has played once for South Africa, coming on in as a replacement as the hosts beat Scotland 55-6 in Port Elizabeth.

He also has one 'A' cap, which came against England Saxons in 2016.

In November 2020 he was named Harlequins Captain, taking over from Chris Robshaw.
